What GAPP is

The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is a Georgia Medicaid program that provides in-home skilled nursing and personal support services to medically fragile children who qualify based on their medical needs. The goal is simple: let children who would otherwise need hospital- or facility-level care receive that care safely at home, with their families.

For children who qualify through Medicaid, GAPP services are typically covered at no out-of-pocket costto the family. Eligibility is determined by Georgia Medicaid based on your child's documented medical needs.

Who GAPP is for

GAPP is built for children with complex, ongoing medical needs — the kind that usually require skilled nursing. Children who often qualify include those who rely on:

• Tracheostomy & ventilator. Children who are technology-dependent and need skilled respiratory monitoring at home.
• Feeding tubes (G-tube). Support with feeding, medication, and monitoring for children who require a feeding tube.
• Seizure disorders. Ongoing nursing oversight for children managing seizures and related conditions.
• Oxygen & respiratory support. Skilled care for children who depend on supplemental oxygen and breathing support.
